i'll start w/ a little story, so you know wher i'm coming from
today, i was browsing the web, and my antivir started flashin all kinds of virus messages, and i selected deleted, adn closed my browser (this is all in windows btw)... i used my computer for a while, and didnt notice any slowdown.. then after a while, my system started to slow down drastidally... then eventualy it totally froze up... i hit reset, and when my computer was booting up, it gave me a message that read something like
"invalid disk error"
the computer wouldnt boot up at all, so i took another hard drive, and put it into the computer and took out my old one, to see if the problem was really the drive.... the new drive that i put in gave me the same error message, and would not boot up... this leads me to believ that the problem is not w/ my drive, and may be w/ the mobo, like maybe a virus in the bios
anyhoo, i'm a regrlar phlak user, but i just use it when i want to brwse the web at work... here's what i'm wanting to do w/ phlak
1.the files on my hdd are very important, my computer wont boot to any hdd, no matter what, but will boot into phlak... the folder i want to bakc up is around 40gigs, so i want to back up to dvd, what i'd like to do, is boot up in phlak, then burn cd's of that dir from phlak! i have 2 cdroms btw... so, my question is this, is there an integrated cd burning program that i could use w/ phlak, or do i have to download something?
2.i downloaded deepburner form www.deepburner.com, and installed it using wine to dir C:\program files\deepburner and now i cant find it at all... i really suck at these linux dir's
