Smilies are always funniest in context... and I just can't picture a context for the jawdrop, unless something's super-obvious. I think of smilies as a way to express tone of voice or to embellish a post, rather than to stand on their own as 'funnies'.

But I do agree, they were made for expression of voice over the emotionless internet.
