They contacted you by your forum alias? [Image: wtf.gif]
Heh, and he spelled it wrong... sorta.
Well, I think that Mr. Albert "Speedy" Gonzales isn't very fluent with random japanese kana, you know.

Bizarre, to say the least. (the calling by alias, not the job offering)
That was that lady who posted on here a long time ago... who wanted somebody to make a format converter. But nobody knew the format, and it turns out you can convert them but people want lots more money than it costs to get some forum kid to do it for 20 bucks, right?

What the heck are you talking about?
i can't find the job in their website.

As I said on qbasic.com, it is odd and strange that peope want to use something as ancient as qb with a database program that will last only a couple of years.
I got that email too...it's almost positively a scam.
I suspect that there is a robot going over this forum for email addresses.

On the other hand, a friend of a friend of mine got paid $1400 CDN a little while ago to make a program that would demonstrate where it is best to put lights in a greenhouse. So indeed, businesses still use QB.
There was a person here posting asking for people who could convert btrieve databases to a better format. my guess is, is nobody offered, but a bunch of people responded positively and he sent them all emails. Frankly, i think it's looking for cheap labor, but he/she/it did respond to posts and physically exists. But their jackasses nonetheless and I wouldnt reply.
