strange... I managed to minimize darkages easily when i needed to.

I find that the controls are very poorly designed along with many other things. For example, if you wish to interact with anything, you can't use the spacebar or anything. No, you have to use the mouse. At least the game lets you move around with the arrow keys, but it's pretty much useless since the game doesn't let you use the mouse at the same time as the keyboard. The game is pretty much a mouse only game, since the keyboard misses a few important keys. The keybaord is only really useful when you need to fit in a tight corner, as the mouse is clumsy in those places that you'll go everywhere but where you wish to go.
7 years for that?!!!!!!!!!
7 years for the music...5 minutes for the art and engine....

yeah....right.

Anyways. I think it's a a cool rpg that has been in devleopment for a really long time...but it's a big game with a great amount of quests and huge maps. Sure, the interface could be better and probaly other things to but I like it.

Really, and what have you made Kevin?
I personally think its cool that he spent that long making a great rpg with plenty of food/quests to last me. Of course it's not perfect... i don't really care. it has plenty of food. which is something i look for in games (especially rpgs)
Review on it's way to Pete..

EDIT: Nevermind, I cant do it.. It would just be too harsh.. and the amount of curse words would go over any sane rating..

In short, I found this to be crap.. "sadly.."

I don't make games... I make cheap apps... But I should've been a little less a bad critic, I shouldn't expect early sega saturn quality games from a freelance programmer...

I expect it...
Quote:Holy sh1t...I must say that this is one of the WORST games I have ever seen. Its ONLY saving grace is the nice quality music (two excellent musicians on staff, it damn well better have good music). The control is terrible (way too many object hangups), the sprites are freakin tiny and are drawn quite badly, you're thrust into the game not knowing what the hell is going on, the combat system is pathetically broken AND looks like crap, and to top it all off...the game allows for no graceful exit (Alt-F4 is the universal "let me outta here!" exit from anywhere in a Windows program). The combat engine appeared to lock up when bringing up the Skill menu for the magic-user guy and I couldn't get out of it, so I tried Alt-F4...no effect. Tried Alt-Tab...the taskbar did nothing but flicker every second and then disappear. Tried Ctrl-Alt-Del...the Task Manager came up and flickered the same way. Then, since none of that worked, I went back into the game and tried everything possible to get around this glaring bug in the game...every key was hit, and just about everywhere on the screen was clicked...to no avail. There was no way out of this, so I had to do a soft boot of my computer. Needless to say...this game was immediately deleted once the desktop was up.

Seven years for THIS? I'm glad I didn't hold my breath.

Geez... I could've told you all that when the first demo was released.
Hell even before that, when the first screenies were out!
I remember messing with the first demo many years ago and it was not the same mess that this is...yeah it still looked the same, with tiny eyesore-inducing sprites clumsily pasted over overdithered grainy backgrounds but at least it didn't (1) control like ass or (2) lock up my computer.
1. good music
2. decent battle concept but you get to a point where you do nothing but click the mouse as fast as you can.
3. i agree very very bad controls
4. the only enemy i saw before i quit was the rat in the sewer but the art for it was good
