Anyone know how to fix it?

Occured after reinstalling windows and firefox.

It's only in FF they dont play properly (I havent tried with IE though, nor will I.. stupid IE crap, rebooted my computer without asking.. *hate*)
Iteresting,.. I know IE, or my version of it,. Will play the GIFs in the Smiley menu until you click on them.. I haven't noticed it elsewhere.... In FF tho, they allways play fine...

Maybe you need to delete FF, and download a new installer,. never know, that lil bit that works the GIF might be corrupt.. Stranger things happen.. =)
Have you tried Opera? Maybe it will work....

Is there really a GIF that you need to look at that is animated?

The GIF's play fine in everything else, it's only in firefox they stop after being played once. (That is, they play to the end then stop, I want them looped)

Need and need.. I need a text only browser, no sound, and a 64bit/s connection on a 286..

But I want more Tongue
Download another version of FF and install it(use scan disk 1st). Maybe that would work...
Of course, if you need a text based browser for your IDSN connection, you could use Lynx...

I was being sarcastic in the last part of my previous post..

I have reinstalled FF, twice actually, it worked before. Stopped working after a complete reinstall, new OS, new FF..

I dont see what scandisk has got to do with anything though..
There could be a hard drive error where you installed FF(why scandisk was reccomended), or you may have found a bug.

No, you installed FF and it happend to be in an area where it is just as reliable as a 50 times reused floppy. Some of the data on GIF playing was corrupted and so, gives you a problem. Of course, this is just a guess...
