I'm trying to collect most (or all) of the old QB classics that Microsoft made.
Of course, I already have Nibbles and Gorilla, but any others that anybody has would be much appreciated.
If you have, PM me and we'll arrange some method of transfer.
i've never even heard of gorilla, but i have heard of nibbles. the only game that i have made a clone of, besides pong. but ill let you know if i find anything.
There was an MS (AFAIK) game distributed with GW-Basic called Snake, although I don't believe I have it around any more. It was a precursor to Nibbles. (and better gameplay, imo, apart from the lack of multiplayer)
I'll look around, wizardlife.
mech1031: Gorilla is a fun old game in which you have to set an angle and velocity for the flying banana that you throw in order to blow up the other gorilla.
It's like an extremely simplified Tank Wars game, with gorillas.
Look on qbasic.com for it, I think it's there.
Behold... DONKEY.BAS

From IBM PC DOS 1.1, written by the man Bill Gates himself. (Modified slightly to run under QuickBasic...)

More old crap by Microsoft/IBM here. (Not too many games though.)

I don't have the gwbasic snake game, but a quick search on google shows that it does exist...There's also QBlocks, a tetris clone by MS.
I have nibbles, gorilla, gorilla with sound option, remline (a prog to remove line numbers from old code) and hanoi lying around somewhere, they are goin' on QBNZ. But I'll email them when my internet in my windows partition works.
Oracle & Plasma: Thanks!
Heh... My internet in windows doesn't work cos I install a free version of ZoneAlarm pro and then forgot the password... Now I am hunting through the registry trying to delete all traces of it cos it can't uninstall without demanding the password... but you'll get them soon.
