Does anybody know how to change the registry so that Windows doesn't display the application menus? ie. I don't want File, Edit, View to be in the window.

Registry? Just don't add a menu when coding your application and you are done

This question is way too vague to answer correctly.

The menus at the top of applications are all application dependent. There is no way afaik to turn them off.

However if you are creating your own program, it is fully up to you whether you have them or not.

it should be possible to use a resource editor such as ResEditor to delete the menus from the program, however then you will not be able to have as much functionality

Why would you want no menus anyway?
