i noticed this discussion but it doesnt mention whether or not anyone uses the speaker/microphone part of google talk! do any of you use it like a phone for each other? id love to test that out with someone.

i've used it. never had any probs. but im not a big fan of talking online, i prefer typing.

I've used it with my girlfriend before, it has sound quality that is matched only by being in the same room with the person... it is far better than sound quality on a phone. Plus it does not lag or cut in and out like MSN Messenger
