Disclaimer for Authorities: I did not hear this album illegally and am not basing this review on what I've heard.
1) Vicarious
This sound has been heard on the radio, and therefore we know what it sounds like. It is very good, although long. The message is neat, as Tool's songs often are. This song features beautiful vocals and guitar and drums, although the bass isn't heard too much. The rhythmatic beat is difficult to grasp at first, yet it grows on you. And as many Tool songs, this one blends almost seemlessly between sections of the song that almost would be unrelated. Around four minutes or so into the song, a cool drum/bass solo kicks in, followed up by neato guitar. Pretty good listen, but not one of the better songs on the album.
2) Jambi
This song is probabaly very good. It would be a good guess to say that it has a very rhythmatic beat consisting mostly of bass and drums, with an occassional neat guitar thingo thrown in there. It probably sounds very cool. Also, Maynard most likely has a really awesome vocal part in the song near the middle of the song (where the beat cuts in half probably) where he might scream with such passion that it makes your skin crawl. Overall, most likely a great song.
3) Wings for Marie (pt 1)
It's reasonable to guess that this is a long and drawn out song, consisting mostly of the same kind of rhythem the whole way through, with hardly any changes going on. This works well for effect though, which seems to be what Tool could be going for. Again, it's possible this song features neat guitar riffs that almost follow no pattern whatsoever yet sounds spectacular. Overall a good song most likely.
4) 10,000 Days (Wings pt 2)
This song is most probably a harder sequel to Wings where Maynard's voice really kicks in, and so follow the rest of the instruments. Probablt featuring lightning sounds throughout the song to give mood, this is likely stronger than Wings. Not much else to say about what this song could be like.
5) The Pot
This will probably be one of my favourite tracks when I hear it. Most likely beginning with Maynard's voice gone solo for a few seconds, it might really give you the feel of the mood right away. Also, Maynard most likely does a good number in the middle of the song with his voice, as is a trademark move by Tool.
6) Lipan Conjuring
Most probably, Lipan is a native-sounding chant-like song, similar to that of APC's Renholdër. However, it is known that this song is much shorter than Renholdër and most likely instead ends by becoming quieter to the point of silence. Overall, it may be a good song.
7) Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman)
Lost Keys might very well be one of Tool's talking songs. Based on a guess that it will have a cool guitar and psychodelic noise with a doctor talking to a nurse about a mysterious guy who was admitted, it probably really works well leading into the next song.
8) Rosetta Stoned
This is probably one of my other favourite songs. I really might like what could be a fast talking Maynard's voice rambling about drugs and being a chosen one. A good estimation is that this song will feature some really wacky singing around the middle, and it's gonna be a very powerful song.
9) Intension
It's possible this song is going to be another native-sounding drum-based song. And it will most likely sound cool. With some long almost-silences, and hard yet light-sounding rhythems, it's going to be another good psychodelic song. Not much else about it, hypothetically.
10) Right in Two
Probably starting with a very neat guitar riff, this song might end up being another one of my favourites. Also, it's likely it will discuss religion and science together, which is always fun to listen to. And most undoubtedly, it will grow more powerful as the song goes, possibly with a really long drum solo similar to that in Pushit (live) around 4:00 and maybe ending around 5:15 or so... This could be a good long song and yet might not be drawn out as much as some others on this album.
11) Viginti Tres
It's most likely that this song will be one of the shorter ones, and will consist of either silence or a very strange noise that I can't describe. Most likely, if this is the case, this song will be a "thinker" which Tool has trademarked in certain songs like Mantra and Ions...
