IT'S HERE!
:lookright: :bounce: :rotfl: :wow:  :rotfl: :bounce: :lookleft:

Playstation 3 finally has a release date: November 17, 2006.

Things they fixed: the controller now is the original Dualshock shape, but it doesn't have the "shock." Oh, and it's motion sensored, like the Wii (Oh, yeah, that's the official name of the Revolution).

And, it's going to be $499 for a system with a 20gb HD, and $599 for a 60gb HD. :cash: Cheap! :cash:

Oh, man, I can't wait. I'm waiting for Best Buy to get the news so I can secure mine. Yes! Next Gen is finally here (It's only next gen when there's two systems who have passed on)

:^_^:

I am buying my own, thank you very much. You might be able to get one from your mom if you drop trou and bend over

I meant that the price is a lot more comparable with the 360's price now. Some people estimated it in the $800s or up because of the Blu-Ray Drive.
I was thinking of upgrading to a new console, seeing as my current one is an n64. But tbh there are just some things the computer offers (mods, controls, large scale games, rts, free games, lyns legacy Wink, etc) that you just don't see in a console. On the other hand, being able to easily play a game with a couple of friends without having them lug over their computers, not having to worry about remaining hd space (though this could change with some of the hybrid designs going on), some big names, no worrying about the system being outdated for several years, knowing a game will work exactly on your system like it worked on the devs, etc, are pretty good arguments for getting one.

The only problem is I dunno which I want to get. I was leaning towards either the xbox 360 or the p3...xbox 360 because of its computer like design, p3 for playstations usual onslaught of sweet games... I'm not sure though, we'll see.
They all suck in my opinion. Nintendo might finally come through with this new controller. I'd love to swing at an enemy and actually get a response on the screen.

It depends though...

I don't think I'll be buying games or systems this generation for at least a year after they come out. Waaay too expensive.

This high price is because of the new fields they're getting into, which is good I guess. That means the next next generation systems will be able to have 60gb HDD and all kinds of stuff cheap.

$500-600 for an uber-high end games system is not really that high Tongue. If you mean relative to reality then sure, but you just aren't hardcore enough then. Wink

Kay yes. Reality, where we live ^_~;;

I'm very hard-core. I just have my priorities straight. Why spend $500 when I can wait for it all to drop to $250?

That sentence is a paradox...
I don't really like the Revolution's new name. I mean, it's wii. pronounced we. So, people will be like,
"where did john go?"
"oh, he went home to play with his wii wii."
"dude, it's just wii."
"yeah, i know, but wii wii sounds funnier."
yeah...when someone told me that the first thing that came into my head was something like "wtf is he joking?"...

revolution? weeee? revolution? weeee? hmm, I wouldnt think that would be a hard choice, I guess it is. I don't care if wii means something, revolution means a lot more imo... course 360 is sort of dumb also, where did 2-359 go, did it really take M$ that many prototypes to get from xbox to xbox 360...probably Tongue

I guess that means i will be getting the p3, they know how to name, p1, p2, p3...Wink
