I'm at sort of a strange point: I just graduated from college, and I'm running low on funds to the point where I can't pay for the qbxl domain for a few months, thus the site is unavailable. If the site is unavailable, it's going to be tough and more than a little stupid making another issue of qbxl.

So my question to the community is twofold: Knowing that within a few months to a year I could be working at a great job that'll make me tonnes of money, is it ethical to create a donation button to get the domain up and running sooner? Secondly, do you think the QB community would pitch in to do so even if I created a playpal donation button?
Domain registration costs like $6 a year. You can't afford that?

Or is paying for web hosting the real problem?
Hosting for QBXL has been provided by a huge benefactor of the community for a long time, which is why there aren't any ads.

The major problem with the domain is getting money into the digital realm: Although my situation is pretty dire, you're right that it'd only take about 10 bucks canadian to actually register a domain. The problem arises from the fact that I don't have a functioning credit card to put it onto(due to the aforementioned dire situation), thus making paying for it a puzzle as well.
My web service cost me (I think) $90 for 2 years, thats including the domain and the 250gb bandwidth.
