This is mostly for Blitz, since he recommended it to me. But I'm using ver 0.4a, which I think was the suggested one for DOS use. Anyhow, I'm getting some DMA error when I try to run the example. Is this a problem fixable in code, or will it not work under the Live!'s SB16 emulation? Because if this is the case, then I can't use the library. I'd rather have compatible sound than sound and music on only a few systems.

ps - i'll get the exact text of the error later on and post back.
Dunno, midas use to be one of the most used sound libs. So it's not incompatible. Must be something else.
Hmmm I never managed to make that demo to work some years ago, when I had an onboard card. Midas was very used some years ago, but most people I know had to turn out sound completely or the game/demo wouldn't work. That's why I dropped it.

Hmm... that's frustrating. Oh well, stick to SMIX for now I guess.

EDIT: It's just been brought to my attention that BWSB has a pascal version. I know several QB programs that used that worked fine on my comp, so I will probably end going that route... unless anyone knows any blatant issues regarding bwsb?
