In light of what happened with my server today, I've decided I'm getting out of everything for good. I'm dropping webhosting and webdesign, and will likely give up coding as well. You ever get to the point where "enough is enough" and "what the hell do I have to show for my efforts"? Well, I'm there. My wife and I are now pursuing a non-technical business that doesn't require computers outside of ordering new materials (which could just as easily be done by phone or snailmail).

When you spread peanut butter too thinly on a slice of bread, you cannot taste it in the sandwich. Likewise, when you spread your life too thinly amongst different things, you have no time to appreciate life.
Phooey.

You'll be back! ;-;
life takes us all sorts of places. you stay in one place too long, and you become immune to what once drew you there. So i wish you the best of luck wherever life is taking you next. hope you'll come back and visit once and i while though.
whatever
I didn't say I would bail on the forums...just getting out of the techie stuff. I'll still be around here to bother everyone. Tongue
attention whore stunt! scnr Smile
Another one of the old guard dropping out? :crying: That sucks.
:lookdown:
oh well, thanks for the hosting while I had it, nek, it was great!
What happened to the server? :o
The server got hacked yesterday, showing that I'm not as good at security as I thought I was. Well, I've locked it down now, but a few scripts broke in the process (insecure stuff and just generally boneheaded coding on the part of some of our clients). I'll keep hosting the sites I'm hosting now but I won't take on any new customers.
