UPDATE 26.05.2003

Drawed the background image for the main menu and game options. I'm happy with the result althought not extatic.
Drawed the last missing illustration I needed for the database.
Wrote and added the info about the arenas into the database which I almost forgot.
Wrote the entire instructions. Very tedious.
Fixed the bugs with the sound routines. Now I was able to compile it but I had serious problems with memory so I did a lot of sub moving from one module to another. Spend TOO MUCH time on it.
Not sure if the MIDI routines will work cause of 2 reasons :

Sound card on the PC on which I'll test it might not work with QMIDI.

I might done a mistake with a variable being triggered when sound drivers are loaded. Not sure. It's common shared but it's triggered in the second module where all the QMIDI subs/functions are so I can't know if it will be passed to the main module.

Things to done : The dreaded end game animation, races discriptions in the database( Agamemnus is being lazy) and few nitpicks. Acctualy, A LOT of nitpicks.

I'm planing to release it in two weeks. But don't count on it.
working on and sending stuff today!!!! [my time... Smile ]
Good to know. Smile
Well, I didn't finished the game like I planed. I had this stupid
excursion for college which basicly took the entire friday. I was away from thirstday morning till friday in the evening so I had to sleep over at friend's house. Got home around 10 o'clock the next day.
Having in mind that I have to study during the day...well, you get the picture.

I added all race descriptions in the database. Stuff I got from Agamemnus was with one part not informative enough and with one part inconsistent with the game so I had to change it. Basicly, all the stuff I wrote is pretty much horrible and with the every new sentence of fiction I write I'm becoming more convinced that I am the worst writter in the history of the world. Not that my ideas suck, it's just the way I articulate them.Sigh.

I'm hoping that I fixed the MIDI routines. Testers should check it
this week. Done few nitpicks. Some bugfixes. Nothing much. Database work killed me. Added a temporary end tournament screen for my own coding purposes. Never mind.

In short, the release is posponed for a week or two.
I can help you with the English, Lachie... almost thought about going to college for an English major and aced my English on the ACTs. Anyways, I have to go to work myself right now, but I get off at six and will check it out. Only problem I have is with the last package you sent out my virus protection software was detecting a virus on a file in it so I didn't unzip... I'll let you know if I have the problem again. I think it was in sbmidi.com.
Thanx. It's just the lack of many nice words and expresions in my english vocabulary. Plus my poor ability to articulate events and discriptions.

Check the database and change the bad stuff if it's possible.
Advices are welcomed too.

As for the virus. Currently I can't get rid of it from my floppies. Good thing is that it's ancient and harmless. With the last ZIP archive I didn't get any virus warning message.
No... let me fix it first.......
NP. Anyway, I got your corections first so....
hehe If it means that much to ya, Ag. ;-) Anyways, my virus software won't even let me download the program cause of the KACZOR.4444.A virus in SBMIDI.EXE. Oh well.. I mean, I do have control over the program and can just disable the real-time scan, but if he's already gone through it it's all good. Any chance you could just remove that file from the zip and then I can just plug in a good one from another download?
Very strange. I'm dead sure I posted one more message in this thread. And Eric also posted. Something about FPS stuff.
