I can provide a mirror if you'd like.
I think Frantic Journey demo is about 25 MB. I would suggest you put 30 MB as the limit. A lot. Perhaps there is a way around it, but I don't know it. Currently, my MySQL database format supports two downloads per game and Frantic Journey has a reserved second download for the no sound version.

I can't use FTP from my current and only Internet access (college). Some stupid firewall and it's not going to change. That's why your server/webspace thingie is so great for me.

I'll try to upload some more games today. Perhaps to the letter S. Sadly, I have other stuff to do too.

EDIT:

Today I added games from J-R. I'll need to get online once more to upload the rest. I was unable to upload Nietzsche installer file since it's an exe. There is a zip download fo Nietzsche so I will probably remove the installer download from the directory.
You should be able to upload .exe files now, I just tested and it worked fine.

As for the upload limit, apparently theres a hack for it so give me some time and I'll see if i can get it upped to 50MB.

Also Nek that would be awesome if you could mirror it, how do you want to go about that? I'm not familiar with linux or shell access, what I think is probably the best is have some kind of nightly tar. Anyway as mentioned earlier I'm going to have to look up some linux commands and apps.
Wow! Great idea. Once me and my club finish up "SPACE <insert word pertaining to fighting> then ill post it on up. That will be a while though.
Okay max upload has been upped to 50MB. Enjoy!
Ok, the whole thing is there. Including 6 extra games added a week ago and the Frantic Journey bloat monster (23 MB). Tongue

I'm going to send Mark the update on the QBasic Games Directory website (http://games.qbasic.com) so downloads should be available through the database very soon. For any delays nag Mark, not me. For any missing or corrupted files, lemme know (lachie13@yahoo.com).

If some evil person feels trigger-happy and decides to deleted the files I took the trouble to upload, I'm not uploading them again. So if this happens, flame Hard Rock, not me. Tongue

Anyway...hopefully I'll advance the site soon but don't count on it. Still, I think this is a lot. It took me months of hard work and dedication to compile the files and add them in the database. So respect! Tongue
how directories can be created?
i can't see directories for Tutorials, Misc., PDS, Visbasic Dos, Converters
Erm....File -> Create -> Directory.

You have to be loged on to do that (first post).
Okay Lachie, to ease your fears I've done the following:
  • Moved a "production" version of QbasicGamesDirectiory to : http://qbasic.parkdalien.com/QBGamesDirectory/
  • In the rare case that someone decides to hack the webftp client(I'm sure it can be done), I've created a backup on a completely different ftp account here : http://parkdalien.com/QBGamesDirectory/
  • In the case that my hard drive gets hacked, the server gets destroyed or I decide to not pay anymore, Nek should be making a mirror.... Nek?

Do you feel better now? I'll also make a backup myself.

But would be really nice is to set up a weekly tarball of some sort, that all mirrors could automaticaly retrieve. The tarball would automatically be created and provide as a means of backing up (I'd keep tarballs maybe 2 months after creation to be able to repair damage).

Also I'll be uploading the following soon:
Qbasic.com archive
ABC archive.
hey, Hard Rock, in the tutorials section i made two directories for the Programmer's Guide; the name with the apostrophe it's empty, i could not erase it because the apostrophe made inactive the name; can you erase that empty name for me? thank you.
