Sometimes the way the story in that show goes just makes me wanna cry. There's a lot of good that you think might happen in the show, but because of the way the characters are in the show, it never does.

Like tonight's episode (spoiler warning):

Fry found his dog from way back in 2000. He goes through all this trouble to go ahead and get it cloned, but when the professor extracts the DNA, it's found he lived a full life of 15 years. Fry tells the professor to abort the cloning, assuming he lived a full, happy life (as fry only had the dog a short while while it was young).

Turns out as we find in the very end of the episode. The dog waited every single day of it's life until the day it died waiting for Fry to come back. What's really sad is you see things change before your eyes. Like, a lot of time's gone by. The pizza shop owner too, ends up walking outside with a cane.

Episode ends just like that. Fry doesn't learn of this. Hell, he could have at least checked his memories (something stated as possible in the year 3000 in the show).

There's been other cases, such as when Fry apparently arranged the stars for Leela, only to have them gobbled up by a black hole when he finally remembers doing it.

It's harsh. Yeah, it's just a cartoon, but it reminds me of how life actually is. Sad and harsh.

End Spoilers

Oh btw, my teeth hurt like all fuckin hell. Just got braces on my bottom teeth. I can't fucking sleep so I'm awake writing this instead. Just wanna take a knife and cut out my gums and let the braces adjust them out of my mouth. Ugh . . .
I had braces a few years ago. Don't let the initial "pain" put you off, it'll go away very quickly, although you might have trouble eating the first few days. You also might get slight bleeding inside your mouth, but trust me, it won't take long before it'll be gone.

Also, I'm glad there's more emotional people besides me around Wink Although you probably didn't cry, heh. I have it with nearly every emotional movie or series that I like ^^

The episodes you described are Season 4 Episode 7 - Jurassic Bark, and Season 3 Episode 14 - Time Keeps on Slipping. Very nice episodes, although I liked Season 4 Episode 12 - The Sting best of all.

And yes, it is true that life is sad and harsh. And therefore, you should have a positive look on everything ^^
Yeah, I've felt emotional over this show also... But, then I remember, "why the hell am I still watching this? No new episodes will come out..." So I've long forgotten about how sad it can be. Until now... jerk.
more episodes are on the way

Thanks, but I've had these on for like, 8 months now? They had to move my top teeth a bunch to put on the bottom braces. Now I finally have those on and I can't even close my mouth all the way because they weren't able to move my teeth enough, so I'm going to have to live with that crap for a while. If I try to close my mouth, I'd be biting on metal from my braces.

It's not the pain that gets me, not unless I try to chew that is. It's the fact that it's pain + I can't sleep regularly because I close my mouth in my sleep. Note that I also can't eat most foods now all of a sudden. I was depending on the fact that my bottom teeth had no braces on to get away with eating a lot of foods you shouldn't with braces Tongue

Heheh. It's nice to see a show that ISN'T an anime have some sort of evolution in the story though. Try that with spongebob squarepants >_> . . .
early 2008 the new season of futurama starts.
-Mom "Don't be a fool you idiot!"
-Fry "I'll be whatever I want to do."

-Fry "People said I was dumb, but I proved them."
that reminded me of this:

Fry: "Where have you been?"

Bender: "I was out taking the professor for a walk, when all of a sudden, this woman starts chasing me saying i stole her purse. I threw the professor at her but she just kept comming, so i had to hit her with this purse I found. anyway it's all morgans fault. .....what, oh man she's standing behind me isn't she?"

Morgan: "Actually i'm in front of you"

Bender: Screams like a little girl.
