The Geekery Updated - wildcard - 06-08-2003 The Geekery updated with 4 new source code items, 1 new link, and 1 new FAQ entry. http://www.thegeekery.org/. The Geekery Updated - oracle - 06-09-2003 Oi Zack: good to see that you've added an extreme tracker, but not on every page!!!. You'll only get inflated hit counts  The Geekery Updated - Zack - 06-09-2003 Wildcard: I also post about Geekery updates in the QB in General section...if you'll cover the updates, I'll stop. Oracle: I only pay attention to the unique visitors anyway, so it doesn't matter. [EDIT] Actually, Wilcard, don't bother. I'll just use the Submit News feature on QbasicNews.com. The Geekery Updated - oracle - 06-09-2003 Well... I'm not sure how the tracker works but I still think you should put a site counter on only the front page... The Geekery Updated - Zack - 06-09-2003 The way it works is that in the Unique visitors counter it count only 1 hit for every IP address. If 64.55.75.89 visited twice, it would count as one hit. That's what I use. The Geekery Updated - oracle - 06-09-2003 Still... it's not really standard practice... The Geekery Updated - Zack - 06-09-2003 I've never been one to follow the generic way...I've also seen many sights put their counter on every page. The Geekery Updated - oracle - 06-10-2003 Oh well... :???: |
