Is there any midi (or midilike) music editor out on the web?
I mean not some drivers and such for a midi keyboard but
like some drag and drop editor like
  • choose instrument
    select tune
    select effects?
    place tune

    repeat a couple of times...

    play song

also: can you access the midi syntheziser on a SB16 card in QB
access 220 irq 1 dma 5 or something...

Those settings (dma, ... etc) are for digital sound output. Midi goes appart. Playing MIDIs is hard 'cause of two reasons: 1. timing, 2. decoding the puzzling format. If you mean to make the FM synthesizer sound, it is quite easy and can be done with a few OUTs. Here: http://www.basicguru.com/abc/sound.htm you will find some snippets to do that. You can also download and learn how to use MK FM tracker, downloadable froM QB rarities post : http://qbraritiespost.cjb.net . I also coded a buggy FM tracker. I'll upload it to my page ( http://usuarios.lycos.es/qbsux ) ASAP. Check it out, it has a GUI and looks very cool Wink
