Can we have a chatbox at qbnews? I think phpBBhacks.com has something like that. When several members are on at the sametime we could chat instead of just posting =)

The problem is, though, that if it was something interesting, not all people would get it  .

When more than 1 user is online, they may like to chat with the other users, not everyone is on MSN or ICQ(i.e. a uniform IM). It would be something like a IRC but since 5-6 people are on at the sametime(avg.) a small chatbox would be sufficient.

If this stops spam, go for it. Personally, I think that post, when useful, are more useful that chats. 'Cause when you help someone, you can help everyone. Chats are ephimere, if that's spelt that way Tongue

Mech, how old are you? Not many people are alive which use the word swell =P

Nathe, yes i agree to some degree with you. But I hate to login into MSN to meet my friends who are online on qbnews =)

Yeah, I was not clear, I meant that for the sake of chit-chat it would be a great idea.

guy used both swell AND nifty. there's an old-timer for you.

Chat box - Zack - 01-29-2004

Nothing wrong with the old cockney "swell"...and the word nifty conveys feelings that are impossible to show otherwise.
Stop bothering the guy.

It sounds like it's a good idea, but the phpBB based chat is pretty simple - there'd be no private rooms etc etc. If that's fine then I'm OK with it Smile
