Art [ FAQ ] - DragonFire - 09-29-2002 Quote:Hi ya, Art [ FAQ ] - na_th_an - 09-29-2002 Why are you quoting yourself? Another thing that I am curious about... I understood that, for you, nude and pornography are the same thing. Then, for you, artists like Michaelangelo are phornographers? Art [ FAQ ] - DragonFire - 09-29-2002 I Was quoting myself sins the old faq was a message and this is a sticky message. Ill remove the old one. And as far as the nude thing I find a lot of things art but im just saying it because I don't want qbasicnews to get problems for showing stuff that is rated 18+ that all.. Art [ FAQ ] - wildcard - 09-30-2002 na_th_an: Although its an art section, it should still fit inline with the rest of the site which I want to keep for all ages. I hope you understand. Art [ FAQ ] - Neo - 09-30-2002 That is true of course :-). I know, Na Than, that you like drawing some kinda almost-nude pictures for your programs (like Lala hehe ;-) I like it btw). But I agree with WildCard that too much of it shown here would really make this site for 18 years or older ;-). Thus I'm not saying you should stop drawing those pics (I actually say you should go on, caus I like the pics ;-) ). As long as too high-rated pictures are not shown on the site. (btw, how do you make those pictures? ;-)) Art [ FAQ ] - na_th_an - 09-30-2002 I understand and agree but I don't consider some of my drawings (I.E. Lala's cover) harmful in any way for people under 18. Anyhow, I think I've been respectful with the forum and I don't understand the rants. Anyhow, I think I've been respectful with the forum and I don't understand the rants. I Never said anyone did anything wrong... I Just put the old faq in a sticky message so it says on top... Art [ FAQ ] - na_th_an - 10-08-2002 Cool. Art [ FAQ ] - toonski84 - 11-01-2002 well, there is a fine line between artistic nudity and pornography. for instance, michaelangelo was dipicting david in the buff, but its a very formal pose, nothing suggesting (thank god) and used to imitate an ancient greeks style. just drawing anime girls lacking any kind of covering in a happy, sexy, nonpurposeful naked scene is most definately, pornography. also, the more realistic (that is, detailed and human-like) you go nudity becomes less and less acceptable for an under-18/sensitive audience because it becomes closer and closer to a nude photograph, which, unless in a very, very blue-moon case, is forbidden. i know spain, as well as most of the world is less conservative on the topic, but since this is an international forum it has to appeal to a broad american audience too, which includes me (i find nudity unnerving in art, and it becomes something of a turn-off, ironically). Art [ FAQ ] - na_th_an - 11-01-2002 So you consider a naked drawing of a girl pornography? I was thinking on eroticism. Pornography has to involve explicit sexual action, if we attend to its definition. In my opinion, I consider the nude body beautiful (when it is ) and non-offending in any way. But I respect you. |
