First Preview-version RESISTANCE (FP-shooter) - nebula - 03-09-2003

The first preview-version of RESISTANCE is released. It only consists of one mission and I left the sound & music out to keep the filesize as small as possible, but I really recommend it.
Resistance is a first-person shooter that plays in the near future. The game is based on the Nebula-Engine that is based on the RT engine. Below you see a snapshot.

at least the year of 3d games by nebula...

nebula, what differentiates this *from* nebula? while it was a nice game, it didnt really do anything gameplay-wise that made it stand out as a 3d shooter, or even a qb shooter (other than being the first rte-based game). it'd be great to see this one take the old game and add more to the gameplay area.

Also, *please* consider to shrink the sprite size. It makes it seems like you're always crouching. (or you're surrounded by 3mts-tall humanoids)

I did not spend a lot of work on the demo "capture the flag" as well on the engine. Now I will take some more time in finishing a whole game, based on two episodes with alot of levels. So I will add some more gameplay.
And I will shrink the sprite size and change the player's height, so you don't feel like a dwarf anymore.

Doesn't work in XP...

Because NT based systems only support the XMS 2.0 spec, and it looks like you've set it to require 3.0. Unless you're allocating more than 64 MB of XMS, you don't need to use SuperXMS (3.0) calls.

Yeah, who needs more? That's why RelLib(Spam) uses standard XMS.
