How about the quick reply mod on qbasic.tk? I find that really useful. What do you guys think? Can we get it installed?

Cheers

I guess I wouldn't mind that. It would make things more convient

I rarely use the normal one anymore, except when I need the special functions. It's also really nice that you can see the other posts like they are when replying. It takes like 5 mins to install, but there are a couple different versions. Check www.phpbbhacks.com

i asked oracle about this in a pm a few weeks back.
this is what he said-

Quote:No.

For reasons you'll find out soon enough...

or something like that.
anyways i could probably find a use for this as well. but the answer is no. unless he changed his mind.

The answer is still No.

But for different reasons: Quick Reply encourages stupid posts for one. At least with posting on a seperate screen you have to load it first.

I strongly disagree with installing this mod, unless the amount of rubbish one-liners around here decreases. And I think the majority of members here would agree with that sentiment.

Because spammers don't have patience?

Who said spammers? I said "stupid posts" and "rubbish one-liners". If that's what you mean by spammers, then I'd say that giving them an easier way to add rubbish to the db is not a good idea.

I tend to agree... You have to think about what you want to say, and maybe if you really want to say it... this isn't so if you don't have to "work" at it, as little as that work may be.

this is probably a little off topic but onetime, i ate a N64 cart. <-kinda like this?

Quick reply - oracle - 06-10-2004

Exactly like that.
