permanant image hosting - speedlemon - 07-02-2004 i've just completed shoot the lemon!!! with the help of some friendly people over at http://www.actionscript.org!. ok. so now i need a place to permantley host this image. dont worry, only 6 kb. so it shouldnt be much of a problem. . anxiously awaiting any replies, erik permanant image hosting - NovaProgramming - 07-02-2004 Why don't you just get a free site from like Fortune City, and host it yourself? I'm sure you won't exceed bandwidth restrictions with only one 5kb image... permanant image hosting - speedlemon - 07-02-2004 woah! i didnt think anyone would reply so rapidly! well. ive tried hosting images there, but a lot of the free sites dont let you link off images or something like that. so you can't see the picture. i just thought it would be easier if someone else hosted it at their site. permanant image hosting - Rokkuman - 07-02-2004 Quote:woah! i didnt think anyone would reply so rapidly! http://www.photobucket.com... Very nice image hosting. But it sounds like you're looking for hosting, which a flash application won't comply with. I'd reccomend tripod. It works as a temporary free hosting thing.. permanant image hosting - Sumo Jo - 07-02-2004 pm sent. permanant image hosting - NovaProgramming - 07-02-2004 Yeah.... Fortune City works well for Flash... permanant image hosting - speedlemon - 07-02-2004 Quote:Yeah.... Fortune City works well for Flash...i think i forgot to tell you everyone, except for sumojo, that i was gonna put it in my signature. afaik, free hosting sites like fortune city, geocities, freewebs, dont let you do what i wanna do. i think. ok. permanant image hosting - na_th_an - 07-02-2004 Lycos let you hotlink images as long as you use the space for a site. I mean, you create a dummy site and you can hotlink all the images you want. permanant image hosting - NovaProgramming - 07-02-2004 Quote:Lycos let you hotlink images as long as you use the space for a site. Make a site about monkeys or something, you know, just slop it together.... and then host your images there. EDIT: I tried "tripod", which is Lycos' free thingy, but the same problem persists: no off-site linking to images, so... permanant image hosting - speedlemon - 07-05-2004 no matter.. sumojo's got me covered. that means probably in probably no more than 48 hours, you should all be (hopefully) enjoying shoot the lemon!!! |
