I never knew it was true... I heard the rumors that Oracle had gone berserk with power... but, as soon as I saw the bouncing smilies and Oracles name as the last one who posted... I knew "He must be complaining about the smilies..."

Personally, I find them entertaining, not annoying...

Once, a long time ago, someone told me RTFM on the newbie forums but nobody complained about it THEN... er...

HEY, there's no need for that! On many computers that many animated smilies on the screen at once can slow them down and make browsing a bitch! Besides, most people are sticking to the limit of three images in their sigs - why is it different just because the images are smilies?

That attack is completely unwarranted.

Hey, you just said bitch! Does that mean I can say ass, fuck, shit, and other bad words?

By the way, I did read the manuel. But I don't understand how to put this in my program. If I understood it, then I obviously wouldn't post here and save you guys the trouble Wink

No, you read the _manual_. (I hope)

Try looking up ON PLAY and PLAY ON like Plasma told you. It even has an example.

You also have to set PLAY in background mode. It's not tremendously difficult...I haven't done this in YEARS but it's sorta like this...you set your ON PLAY statement and write the corresponding subroutine to handle it (the PLAY that you put inside it should be set for background mode), then when you want the music to play, use PLAY ON (and I think you set the buffer here? set it for 1 or 0, I forget which hehehehe) but anyways...when the PLAY ON is called, the music should start playing...then when the buffer runs out, the subroutine is called again and does whatever it is you need it to do (usually, either play another set of notes (up to 32) or whatever) Big Grin ...I don't use this because I have scores of music libraries for all compilers. Big Grin (ya, I collect music libraries, sue me Tongue )

I'm just trying to re-live the good old days, when Oracle used to help people with their QB-ing problems....

Jeez! Leave the guy alone! He's an administrator, in case you don't know what "admin" stands for. It means he regulates the forum. Without him, people would keep on trolling because there would be nobody to stop them. He has responsibilites, even if you don't...
Sheesh.

What's the problem...I answered this guy's question an hour after he posted it. It's not my fault if he can't read.

I dunno...
Sometimes people don't realize it's a link because smartdark's highlight color doesn't have much contrast. I change the color too...or make it bold... or something.

Good point.... I had someone tell me to RTFM one time and it WAS a link, so...
