I loved those demoes, specially 'cause of the GFX, the gameplay and the fact you were changing the palette for day and night.

The fact that you are releasing the source means that the project is abandoned? I hope not. This one is one of the few QB RPGs I like.

Well, we actually left QB about two years ago, so yeah, it's pretty much abandoned... :/
Elf, the man behind the game, doesn't have time for programming nowadays and those of us who still work together are working on another game that's sort of a sequel/prequel to both Acalypha and to another QB game that's never been finished/released/official. And it's in 3D. Yay Smile
That's more information than I've ever given (semi-)officially before.
I guess we pretty much see the two chapters that are as the full version of Acalypha, although that might change in the future, but not likely in QB.

Agreed. Acalypha (and perhaps Ped Xing's Quest, Ziel and Of Hell and Magic) are the best qb rpgs ever.

Indeed, Jocke.

Really sad news. Well, with freeBASIC out there, someone should port it and keep developing.

Yes, definately. I'm sad that Acalyphia is now abandoned... It was one of the inspirations for my own rpg. Sad
