X-Window type GUI: Is/Was there one? - tlsuess - 03-12-2005

Hi everyone!

I have been looking at the X-Windows system a lot, and I know that it is written specifically for a Linux environment. But, just out of curiosity, was there ever a QuickBasic-written GUI that "imitated" this type of environment?

I know there was DESQview/X, but that was Turbo Pascal, and it was not free. If there was a GUI like that, would you let me know? Thanks very much.

Regards,
Todd Suess
