FB Snippets Section? - Antoni Gual - 04-19-2005

A FB snippets section could be good, if
- Each thread allowed only one entry, (editable by it's poster to updte the snippet) , comments should be made in a thread in another section

- Perhaps a size limit should be set (3000 chars?) . Bigger things should be linked from a separate URL.

-People must be required to post only useful and documented routines, not "see what I'm doing now" things.

This way the section could be an useful repository for FB users.

While it's a nice idea, I'd have to say dont make it.

More forums will only add to the confusion.
There's already a lot of forums here.

Someone should make a site dedicated to FB snippets.
But adding yet another forum would scare people away...

Actually, I like this idea. Maybe make a sub-forum inside fb projects?

phpBB doesn't allow subforums.

Dav had a code post like that a couple years ago. It was great, I posted all my R&D code there.

Frankly though, I'd prefer people (myself included) instead turn such code into tutorials where possible, since sample code can be found a dime a dozen on the internet.

Since I want to play with php anyway, I'll look into making such a thing into a feature at qbxl.net, though.

Another way would be to make sticky post in the fB programming help...
