Anyone remember this game? - NecrosIhsan - 08-20-2006

Hey neat, it's been close to a year since I posted anything in this thread.

I found some free time recently and decided I'd dust off this old project and maybe get some work done on it. I had shelved it because I wanted to do a proper 3D version but since that is never going to happen, I might as well finish off this retroesque-style version.

Same stuff as before.

It's cold in here...

I'll take what's behind door number three.

The first outdoors level in the game, and it's very tough.

This level was just added today. With this, the game reaches the 25% complete mark.

The first episode is almost complete, just one level remains. After the first episode is completed, I'll go about releasing that long-overdue alpha build. Big Grin

STUFF WORKING:
-All life and magic restoring items.
-Three rings (added the third today).
-Four enemy types.
-Doors, switches, targets.
-Secret areas.
-Static objects (just added them today).
-Five levels (added the fifth today).

STUFF THAT WILL BE WORKING BEFORE ALPHA RELEASE:
-In-game menus.
-Load/Save.
-Adjustable resolution.
-Three more enemy types.
-One more level.

Looking good. I hope you stick with it; I love these retro style games. I still play ROTT and Wolf3d using the new ports folks made.

It's truly amazing how big the Wolf3D scene is. I wouldn't have found half of the textures I'm using for Two Lords if not for them. There are literally thousands upon thousands of people still playing the game to this day, making new levels with newer textures and enemies and messing with the game engine.

Awesome. I was honestly just looking at this project page on Saturday wondering whatever happened to getting to do some testing. 8)

Hell, you are working faster than me Nek... 25%... gah... I haven't even design a single weapon yet. But what is expected if youre working with 4 different projects at the same time.
The latest level looks really nice. Hope to see some more screenshots of it.

Started work on the sixth level:

Then later, did some more...added the new enemy, Zombiehulk (a tougher Brutus, basically):
