Owners of fileanchor (forgot who it was, can't be bothered to check), have you tried text-link-ads? It's an ad network that gives you revenue based on a monthly rate, not click-throughs. You can sign up here http://www.text-link-ads.com/?ref=15721,
(yes, that is my referral code - I make a little money if you sign up through me). They are pretty good on how they handle stuff, and there are lots of people looking to advertise. On a good month, I can pull 30 bucks a month, and I have maybe 15 regular readers...

Their affiliate program ain't half bad either.

You basically set how much you think your website is worth (I said mine should be 20 bucks a month per spot), yours might be 50 bucks a month or 100 or whatever, and TLA gives you half of that, and keep the other half. It's a fair deal.

Try it out sometime.

I'll make sure sumo sees this, and we'll look into it. Thank you.

So you don't get paid unless someone purchases a text ad on your site then? And if they decided to do so, you then get half of the price you set for that ad?

Just clarifying so I know what's up.

Yes, that's basically it.

The little fluff around the sides is that you get put into a directory based on the information you provide and the categories you place yourself into, and then potential advertisers come around and see how many spots you're offering (exclusivity), your Alexa rank (impressions) and your content (applicability).

It's recently gained a -lot- of momentum, partly because it's been featured on major sites like Techcrunch, 9rules etc.

Plus the ads look great...
