I have gone to colleges and life stuff. working and what not. I did some C/C++ ASM java here and there. I really dont program anymore. QBASIC was a very good start for me when i was 13. I learned the basics of programming even though i didnt do much with it. QBASIC can do some unexpected things from what i saw here. The 3D demos games were awesome. I cant remember the names but i never thought those games and graphics could have been done with an interpreted old language like QBASIC.
I saw Whitetiger in FreeBasic IRC channel a couple of years back. He did FIRST robotics in C iirc. Im guessing he moved on to university and is doing java or C#. smart kid tho.
I thought qbasic.com died. i know petesqbasic.com has great demos and programs on there but i never did the forums. I understand why QBASIC is not being taught anymore. I would suggest python for beginner programming. I guess QBASIC 4.5 > will die out some time in the distant future. Heck i still see basic books from the 70's still at googwill. I really hope FreeBasic picks up and starts competing with other proprietary basic languages.
I wish the best to everyone. dont get discourage or think anything is too duaghting and overwhelming. keep on learning, trying new things, keep the qb code coming!
