Well, the 'I got a great-big gun here!' line is the punch line to a skit by a comedian (it's about American politics).
But, with the number of guns and ignorance in the American public school systems, it fits in perfectly.
The skit that stands on in my mind is as follows:
Pilgrims land and start talking with the natives:
'We want to trade you all your land for these glass beads.'
'Fuck you!'
'We got a great-big gun here!!!'
'Dem nice beads.'
