perl stopped working on the old server. It works on the new one just fine, so when the site is transferred tonight, everything should be back to normal. In any event, I'm developing a new forum script for the new V Planet that's similar to the old one but more efficient and feature-rich (registered members, which means post editing among other things, plus adding all the goodies like img tags). Also, that forum uses textfiles, so there's no database to lose. 
Of course, the textfile method is horrible :barf: but it was what was in use at the time.
