Seeing as I've never even seen the forum, I can only guess, but I'm assuming you mean better in the sense that it has such an amazing host of assholes and idiots that it becomes hilarious. (I'm not trying to flame here. That's just been one of the reasons what I've seen of SA has actually been amusing :wink: the whole cynical shock value thing... ala maddox...)

It's a lot different than Maddox, unless you were saying you got the impression from maddox (who joined the forums where everyone told him they didn't like his page, so he left). It's basically a megaforum, it has a ton of subforums with all different topics with people who know a lot about each subject. There are people from all aspects of life and different jobs and such. Basically a community like any other forum. I was saying the forum was better than the site because practically everything shown on the site was created by people in the forum.

I guess you have to be a member to see, it's basically everything you'll need from a forum, in one forum.

As for saying the people are assholes, well it can be the same as the rest of the world. People in general can be assholes, it's how the world works. Although they aren't too tolerant of stupid questions and newbies going "First post, lol!" it's not a hard place to figure out. The idea is to ween out the morons so you have a good posting community. Hence the reason you pay and the reason idiots get banned. The forum hopes to only have the best.

And now I've typed more than I do for most of my papers at uni.
