How are Cartoons and Animes *produced*
#17
disney uses 15 frames per second on the draft animations, but it is really choppy. if you look by-frame at a movie, the image changes every frame is a lot of scenes.

in just about ever movie since 'oliver and company' they've also drawn characters each frame over cg animations.

megaman, there are no "haters", come now. there's some prozac in the the left shelf of your medicine cabinet. gooood.

use flash. it's your best option. also, try and keep the actual animation minimal. they did a really good job of doing this in old lucasarts scumm games. i still think comics are an easier/better way to test out your art skills because there you can spend time on each drawing and include things like cg and the like. but hey, we're helping you here.

also: do you have any of those hand-drawn animated gifs we could look at?
i]"I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum ... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk?"[/i] - Dirty Harry
