Wait... Can virii even infect HDs? and uhm... what? How do you even know it was a virus then? (if it wasn't picked up by a virus scanner). Maybe it just needed a good ol defrag?Code:I had a virus infecting my HD, not a file but the HD, so I reinstalled Windows XP Home and the virus was no more, unless my HD was special.

@axipher: Did you unplug it? or did you try to hotswap a HD?
