Yeah, the "randomness" for how often a powerup drops is actually something like CHANCE = int(rnd * (level*10)) + 1
and then if CHANCE = 1 then it's a powerup; that's why you get a lot in the beginning... however, the powerups drop at the same rate because each level the balls increase by 10, and so does the less chance to get a powerup... so in short, they drop the same amount, but it seems like less in the higher levels? I dunno, it seems to work good for me, I can only get to like level 9
