Personal Survey (for social psychology undergraduate)
#1
Hello. I am a social psychology undergraduate who would like to gather some data about a theory of mine. Most likely, you will find the theory boring, but if you are one of the few who want to know more about it, just email me at sephknows@gmail.com. Anyway, all I ask of you right now is a few questions. I will use your answers as the basis for questions in a more formal survey at a later time.

The following questions require complete candidness and honesty. It would be prefered that you answer in an email (to the above email address), so that you can be sure you have complete confidentiality and privacy. However, if you must, you can answer here as a reply.

#0: What is your gender and age?

#1: How many friends do you have?

#2: Why do you consider them your friends?

#3: How many of these friends are your best friends?

#4: Why do you consider them better friends than your other ones?

#5: Have you ever had a best friend who is no longer your best friend?

#6: If so, why do you think this is? Please explain in detail.

#7: Are the majority of your friends of the same or opposite sex as you?

#8: Are the majority of your friends related to you in some way?

#9: How long do you think your longest friendship has lasted/is lasting?

While answering questions 10 through 12, use the scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the closest and 1 being the most distant.

#10: How close do you think the average of your friendships are?

#11: How close do you think your best friend is?

#12: How close do you think your least best friend is?

This concludes the questions. Your input is extremely valued and appreciated. Thanks for helping!
