Should we mirror / archive dead QB sites?
#11
Delta Code's not dead, so don't archive that one. Btw, anyone who has the old link to my site (deltacode.cjb.net) should update it to http://deltacode.sytes.net

I remember the good old days when I used to use QBasic exclusively.  I was afraid to switch to FreeBasic because it didn't support some of my favourite statements!  I did make the switch though, and I'm so glad I did.  Now I don't pay so much attention to QBasic, because I consider it obsolete (as it really was all along), but I do think it would be a shame if the language that taught probably thousands how to program was forgotten entirely.

So I say yes, if you have the resources to mirror a site, that would be great.  I'm not sure how often if at all I would look at any such mirrored sites (I'm busy with FreeBasic!) but it would be good for the next generation of programmer, just in case they ever want to see how their parents or older siblings programmed.  We don't want to kill the hand that raised us, or however that saying goes.
