Richard, look more closely at the results.
The only way you will get correct results is by using strings.
It is a pain that should have been corrected at birth.
PS
You can improve on the original program but it still will not be perfect.
hen they say it can't be done, THAT's when they call me ;-).

My banning was after I stated that new members of FB would not understand what Lachie was talking about because many of them were morons like you. I also pointed out that people like Pritchard come to  Network54 as trolls but are not banned. You will also notice if you followed the thread that Vic was the first one to drift from the newbies question by stating that a certain site was full of spaghetti cowboys, or something very similar. My evidence was based on the fact that barely a third of new members post and when they do it is usually rubbish compared to the posts they had when QB/QBasic programmers were joining.
There are a lot more things I could point out like the thread a mile long having a go at Pete, Mac and Galleon and the fact that the Off Topic Forum was closed down when the vote was going against closing it.

Hey, roy, let it go. You are welcome at The QBasic Forum, as well as here, QBasicNews, QB-Cafe, QBasic Forum at Tec-Tips, and Pete's QBasic Site.

How many forums do you want?

If you can't forgive your enemies, forget them.

Okay .. so .. I do not visit here often .. but I was bored and came here .. So .. I wend to this forum called "QB Discussion & Programming Help"

The first topic that cought my eye was "I have just been banned from FB"

.. so .. I am confused .. what has this topic got to do with programming?

Also .. if you are banned from an FB site, why are you posting this on the QB forum?  :o

..

verrrrrrry interesting ..
