thanks sorry it took so long to respond it works nicely.  I ended up figuring out a solution with my team.  The compettion is over so I won't be posting any more problems but if you guys would like to see them anyway I will put them up.

I'm sorry that I did not see your post much earlier, but, I like hearing that you had a team and that you were able to create a workable solution to your problem.  Congratulations! 

Keep coding!  Theory and tutorials, combined with practice and experience, are the best way to understand and learn how to code.  Trying to understand other person's code is another way. 

We all, here, hope you enjoy learning QuickBASIC and coding.  Please feel free to post here any new code you feel is worth while, or that you are having problems with.  And, good luck to you and your team. Smile

Thank you.  Currently I am coding in Visual Basic 6.0 for my comp sci 3 class and am working on a crappy version of craps (Teacher assigned it lol).
