Web desing - opinions

What can I say? Well, the old design is blue, and the new one is blue too. Blue, I guess.

I think that the question isn't "What is your fixation on blue?". It's "What is your fixation on monochromatic schemes?"

I like the old colour sheme better like comparing a 16 colour picture

But I think it looks better with the menu on the side...

Don't listen to them, man LOL this one is awesome. I love it. And also it says "best viewed in 800x600" and it displays really neat in 1024x768. Nice work! You are such a good designer. Which tools did you use?

Erm, photoshop for the images and notepad for the html. (thanks for the flattery, my ego is having a field day right now  )

as for hex disaster, I just have a thing with monochrome. I can't explain it Big Grin My oldest design was red and green though.

I really dont know now. I didn't use the old one because people said it was too blue and too small (especially in 1024x768). I stuck on unwavering the blue thing but i made it fill 800x600 and stretch to 1024x768 this time (and the html was easier too).

hey, any javascript gurus - how can i use the document index to id a picture by its name instead of its index number. IE lets you just use the name but I need this to be compliant with mozilla (since my only clients have used only it so far).

Looks amazing. I wish I could do that. Wizardcode could use that sort of makeover.

Do you just do layouts, or could you actually write a blog and screenshot database in php? Cause I might be willing to pay for a site like this (not safe for work) for Drunken Ogre...

I use Perl, but I know enough PHP to get by with the documentation. But I wouldnt trust my current work ethic for pay as of yet (I'm not that responsible). Right now I have exactly two "clients" for non-scripted websites, and two scripted websites I did as freebies for my dad's dental organizations.
