I've got some Qbasic programs I wrote a long time ago that I'd like to give away, but I don't have the source code, just the .exe files. I also don't know how to let people download them - can I submit them here and then you can test them, check for viruses or adware, and then let people download them from here?

Executables do nothing to help people learn from your applications. They are typically not trusted for the reason of viruses since virus checkers do nothing to detect a malicious program that is not already well known [hashes of the code are kept as their database]. Unless your programs are extremely useful, like an non-bloated better alternative to Photoshop than the gimp, then disregarding safety precautions, people won't care about your programs.
Sad but true. If you want gratitude and hurrahs for distributing your programs you wrote entirely on your own... then here you go. Hip hip hurray. Woot. Thx bro. Aws0ome stuuff, maan!

WHAT does your post have to do with FREE BASIC? That is a QB alternative you know!
Why would you discard the BAS files? We don't need no EXE programs!
PS: CHECK YOUR OWN FILES for viruses then toss them in the Recycle bin......

He didn't say anything about free basic. He meant that we was going to give away qbasic programs for free.
Also, calm down, dude.

It is quite clear. This EXE programs may not actually be from QBASIC source codes. I guess that the starter of this post has a hidden agenda. The executable file will not help programmers in any form.

YEAH SURE! He doesn't have the BAS code, but he has the EXE files?
Probably not even his stuff either!
