New song:What is there?

The page with lyrics and song info and whatever can be found at my main site under 'music' on the navigation frame.

Tell me what you think. I also updated 'Write Here Please', if anyone checked it out before. I fixed up the vocals a bunch and generally improved the mix...

edit apparently Angelfire thinks my mp3s are mpegs. So if you right-click-save-as, change the target file's extension to mp3. Or just play it in WMP as an mpeg. :o

Hey man - nice song. I haven't still read the lyrics, but I will do.

I like the rythmic section, it is very well assembled. You have a nice voice which reminds me those old SP B-sides by James Iha Wink. I'd try to add more presence to the voice, tho. Add some bass frequencies using a FFT filter and compress it a little bit and it will sound better over the guitars (sometimes yer voice gets lost under the strumming).

Nice piece of work, man. Keep the good work.

P.D. When I finish my new site I'll upload my new production: "Rub Me In" Wink

Thanks.

The trouble with the vocals is, I mixed it using a pair of earmuff headphones, so if you listen to it like that (with proper stereo seperation), it's easy to pick out the vocal track and focus on it. I need to re-think it a little for mono. Also, I tend to do most composing lying in bed at like 11pm, thus, I do a lot of recording at 1 in the morning... meaning that I have to sing soft.

I did a lot of backing vocals and stuff on that first mix of Write Here Please, but I found it obscured the lyrics, rather than brought them out. So on its remix and on this piece, I tended to keep it to one track...

I'll try the fft filter thing.

I visited your homepage and I downloaded your another song, "write here please".

I also read the lyrics of "What is there". I like this part:

Quote:Notebooks filled with all the facts and figures
Figures in society that roll the payrolls
Chase the one ahead of you round in the rat race
Just be sure you aren't the one chasing his own tail

Nice. Really nice.

I am listening now to "Write here please". YEah, it rocks. It is very "new wave". Also, the drum tracks rock... And definitely, that is the kind of songs to be played live. I like the concept aorund the lyrics are built. Cute Wink

Keep the good work.
