I heard rumour some time ago that there was an open-source blog out there for php/mysql. I took a quick look and couldn't see anything... It's not for a serious journal or anything, I just want a newspost thing for the DOe page (on lycos), and I want to have the example code to work with so I can build my own database for screens or downloads or whatever.

I didn't check it out fully, but this looks like the right thing:
http://blogbuddy.sourceforge.net/
Google search "blog sourceforge"
So simple, yet so difficult.

Jes make one. I needed a message board one day so I just made one. Then slowly, it began to look a hell of a lot like the Matrix. You see, the moral of this story is to go to
www.sephplanet.com/forum and post something, because eventually, we all get shot.

I'd rather have someone else's code to work with. Even trying to set up a table for it in the database I'm not sure which 'text'-type to use for the content field... just completely lost.
I tend to learn coding better when I have simple examples to work with...

Well I'd make one for you, but I'm getting kind of sick of PHP now. Sorry
