Telemarketting Job
#1
Goddamn that telemarketting job looked shitty. Okay heres the thing: it's about a 30 min. bike ride from my house. The building is crummy and old, and the "office" is one big room with desks around all the walls. Nobody wears any professional looking clothes. The boss guy was wearing a dego T. and all the employees were teenagers or young adults, most of which looked very poor. Assuming I will work 5 days a week, I will be making $875 for the first month, and $1000 a month after that. I will be working 5 hour days.

Does this sound like a job I should take?

It's okay for a part time job, almost 9 bucks an hour (assuming you get the weekends off). But transportation seems to be a problem. The setting is about right for a telemarketing job, or at least how i've heard their like. If you can find a closer job, i'd take it. But right now, as long as you're living with your parents, it's definately work.

I'm moving in with a friend temporarily, since my parents are moving 2 hours away in a week or two. The distance is not a problem, since I can bike it. It's not part-time, but full-time. Yes, that's how crappy it is.

Well, for a full time job, you're working 5 hours. and 10 is about the standard for a full time job. For a kid who has yet to get his ged that's alright. A friend of mine is working full time 8 hours at mickeyd's as an assistent manager after a few years for the same wages. It's temp work. There's no other description
