How to convert any passed variable into a string
#11
Is the "OPEN "\DEV\NULL"" part supposed to be some kind of inside joke? The /dev/null pseudo-device from *nix operating systems has no equivalent on DOS systems...

It doesn't have an equivilant in Linux (Debian) either... I'm guessing it's just a reference and I can substitute anything there, right?

Debian doesn't have a /dev/null? That should be illegal. Then I can't say "send flames to /dev/null" and suchlike. Come to think of it, I haven't even checked my Red Hat distro because I've only booted it about 10 times since I've had it... Windows programming takes too much of my time. I hope I'm not missing /dev/zero either...

Debian (and all others) have a /usr/src though... n00bs at Linux never use this directory Tongue
