Wow, that sucked. I posted this and a stupid porn pop-up transformed this window into a porn site and then my pop-up blocker closed it.

Anyways, so this is my thread where ALL the little weird stuff I say goes. I'm limiting it ALL to one thread (that's right wildcard, ONE thread!)

------

My cursor moves about the screen in random patterns and in a jerky motion sometimes, when nothing is touching the mouse and the mouse isn't even moving! Do you think my mouse could be haunted?

------

My dad popped up an MSN window and said "oops sorry". I asked "what happened? did gramma die again?" Well apparently he had invited me into a chatroom with him and my stepmom into it while trying out some BETA for M%. Or is it M$? Who cares. Anyways they both said "sick" and left the chatroom. LOL.

------

My dad suddenly popped up in MSN and said "oops sorry". Confused, I said "what happened, did gramma die again?" He said "no I accidentally invited you into this chat" and my stepmom was in there also. They both said "sick" to what I said and left. LOL!

------

Agamemnus is the KING when it comes to popping me out of QB's IDE with his IMs when I'm trying to code my game.

I get the exact same thing. It's done it in XP, ME, and even Red Hat Linux! I don't know what's up, but whenever it happens, I clean the gunk out of my mouse and it stops for a while.
am an asshole. Get used to it.

Get an optical mouse. Big Grin They're very nice, and you never have to clean out the mouse droppings.

Tip #1:
An older/crappier optical mouse's cursor gitters because the optical 'eye' doesn't have enough precision/resolution. If you decide to get one or replace the one you have, make sure it's new and name brand, like Microsoft or Logitech.

Tip #2:
If you've got a USB mouse, use a USB mouse<->PS2 port adapter - I know Microsoft mice come with these and I'm pretty sure Logitech ones do too. I've noticed that mice generally aren't as responsive when plugged in USB.

I've always prefered those ol' ball mouses. I have more control if I feel the weight of the ball when I move the mouse. Sorry, but I am very used to it Tongue

*nods* I like 'em better, and I just can't get used to a wireless mouse, having to change batteries and such...

Yeah, it took me a while to get used to the lighter weight, but after that, I ain't going back. Smile I use mine (some IBM model) plugged into the USB port, even though I have a USB->PS2 adapter that came with it, because the Red Hat Linux console mouse support does really weird things when I use the adapter, like jumping around and selecting text and suchlike, when I try to move it. It works just fine attached via USB, however, so I use it like that. And yes, I actually use the console... and not through an xterm! Wink
