No of dif tiles in backgrounds

Actually Agamemnus got it right I was asking how many different types of tiles per screen. I added the rest because I assumed the size of the tiles and the number of the tiles affect the number or percentage of different tiles you can fit on the screen.

No.... the more different types of tiles you load in to put, the more memory you use. If you put more of the same tiles, you won't use more memory, just lose a small tiny piece of speed.

I usually make as many different tiles as I need. The average for an average looking program is about 100. The prettier looking ones have upwards to 450, but but you'll maybe use 200 on the screen at most most of the time.
