I use it on my board to give access to certain hidden boards, i believe such a group existed when wildcard gave the qb45.com people a place to discuss the new server.

But its not really needed now that all boards are public (and when a usergroup exists, its ussauly hidden anyways)

Well, we have to ask ourselves... are all the boards public? Perhaps there is some ultra-secret QBNews cabal who control the flow of QB programs everywhere...

Well... I run a phpBB forum and there is the option to make forums "hidden", "admin only" and the like. So Wildcard, Fling etc could have there own forum where they discuss how that oracle is ruining this place and that seph needs to be watched and ninkazu's posts all need to be checked... :wink: j/k, but you get the idea. There could be a secret forum, it's definately possible.

IMHO restricted forums that are still shown are rude. It treats the non-admin members of the forum like little snivelling idiots that need to be contained.
