SVGA libs and SVGA modes
#11
Wow, I didn't know borland could compile for real mode. Is it any better than watcom?

Xepher.net is free and has FTP, PHP, MySQL, etc... and no ads or space/bandwidth limits, but you have to impress to owner to get in. "Free hosting for free thinkers"... He'd probably let you in.

Watcom generates some really neat code. Though it doesn't use 32 bit regs. Only 16. Borlands 16 bit code suxs. Almost as much as qb. But it does use 32 bit regs. So it depends what you're going to do really. And i'm not talking about C++ builder 5. But C++ 5.

Wait a second, are we talking about Watcom or Open Watcom?

Open Watcom has a Windows IDE, can compile for Windows (both 32 bit and 16 bit) or DOS (both 32 bit extended and 16 bit). And it must use 32 bit registers if it can compile for 32 bit protected mode.

I guess Watcom (which I've never seen) isn't as similar to Open Watcom as I thought.

They're the same, of course pmode apps use 32 bit regs. I'm talking about real mode ones.
